Cheerleaders Are Great But You Need A Coach
My sophomore year of high school I was on the junior varsity football team and our games were on Thursday nights. My freshman year we got Fridays off because of our game the night before. But my sophomore year our coach decided he wanted us to run sprints on Fridays. He tried to encourage us about it saying it would only last 30 minutes (when football practices were usually at least 3 hours) and we would be able to wear gym clothes and not have to put on all the pads. Even with this news we were not very happy about having to come in on our “day off” and run sprints. But since we didn’t really have a choice we did. Why I Stopped Trying and Started Training
I’m in week 13 of the T25 workout plan. I am in the “Gamma” cycle which basically means you are going to get your butt kicked every single day. I thought the other rounds were like that until I experienced the first week of Gamma. I’ve worked out with Eric and today we were joking about how nice some of the Alpha workouts would be now. The Tough Decisions
As many of you are aware, this past fall I started a new job. I spent the past 5 years working for the YMCA and accepted a job as a teacher. Sure the job had ups and downs like every job, but the ups were really high. [Read more…] about The Tough Decisions
I’m Done With New Year’s Resolutions
2016 is here so it’s that time for everyone to start making all their resolutions. I’ve never really been one to do that but last year I decided to mix things up and come up with some. I was bound and determined to do some things and I failed miserably. I wasn’t even close. I made it until about April with most of them but then it was game over. I guess I can blame it on the fact that Zeke was born in late March. Yeah, let’s go with that. Either way, after bombing 2015’s resolutions I will be going back to my normal for 2016. No resolutions. 2015 Christmas Card
2015 has been quite the year for the Spindler family. We officially settled into our new house. I started a new job this fall and Angela has adjusted to being a stay-at-home mom. Obviously the biggest thing that happened was the birth of Ezekiel. That dude has brought so much joy into our lives over the past 9 months. It is crazy to think that all that time has passed already. We are excited to begin our Christmas traditions with him. [Read more…] about 2015 Christmas Card
