If you are from North Carolina, or any of the surrounding states, there is one thing that is almost considered a universal truth: Bojangles’ sweet tea is the best (other than your Mama’s or Grandma’s). I don’t agree but that is because I don’t like sweet tea. That being said, there is something that almost everyone agrees on, the Bo-Berry biscuit is one of the greatest things ever. That is something I can get on board with. I have friends from out-of-town that will make their first stop in NC at a Bojangles’. If you have never been, yeah it’s that good. Mission Field Mentality
A couple of weeks ago, some friends and I were reminiscing about being on a mission trip. We talked about how while we were on the trip we were so passionate about seeing the lives of people changed. We had a huge amount of compassion for the people we were ministering to. We have all found that it is easy to come home and not have the same attitude. Stealing Smiles
A few days ago, I was hanging out at Track Out camp when I noticed a kid who wasn’t smiling. I went up to him and asked him if he could smile for me, and he wouldn’t. His huddle was having snack so I started asking the kids around him if any of them had taken his smile. It’s a new year, and with it comes everyone talking about things they are going to change. For those working at the YMCA it is the busiest time of the year. So many people come in and sign up for gym memberships in January. The gym is so packed at the Alexander Y that they have to hire parking attendants for the evening hours.
