The other night after summer camp staff training I was really tired when I got home. It was around 10:30, and I had left for work at 6:50am. But I got on my computer to do my mandatory Facebook check, and I was blown away to see that The Rocket Summer was giving away a live CD from his most recent tour. Selfish Sacrifice
This week I have started a new job. My good friend Jim’s grandfather is not doing so well. He is suffering from Alzheimer’s, among other issues with getting old. His grandmother needs help taking care of him at night. Jim, his brother, and I have started a rotation to help. For a week at a time, one of us will stay the night at their house. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. You all have done something I could never do, you have given birth to a child. Thank you God for giving that duty to Eve and not Adam. On Mother’s Day I figured it would be appropriate to tell a story about my mom, so here goes.
Music is a huge part of my life. I own roughly around 400 CDs (bought and own legally, but I won’t go there in this blog). There is something special about Lundy Dr. And there is something even more special about 5134. You can interpret special however you want to haha. I have lived here for over five years now, and it is getting hard to imagine living anywhere else. There is something awesome about being a 5134 Boy. So this is where it begins.. again
The full circle is now complete.. I am back to where I started (in 2003)… blogging. First it was xanga and everyone had to have it. It is how I stayed in touch with all my friends from high school. Then it moved to MySpace, and I was super reluctant to make the switch, but finally did when xanga was dying and everyone left. Then Facebook came along, again I was reluctant to make the switch, until Facebook took over the world and I was left with no choice.
