I’m a few days behind on this, but welcome to 2015. It’s that time of the year where everyone talks about what they are going to change and what their goals are. For 2015, I got a big wall calendar to help me keep track of some of mine. It came in the mail on Friday (just a few days behind) and now I need to flatten it out and get it on the wall. Here I am 11 days into 2015, and I’ve already not done some things I would like to. Between work and family there has been a lot going on already in 2015. I signed up for this thing that was about focusing on your goals the first 10 days of the new year. I’m still on day 1. [Read more…] about 100th Post – Goal Setting

Iron Man’s True Identity (Part 1)
The journey to having a kid is an interesting one. There are so many life changes you have to get ready for. There is one thing that caught me a little of guard: the pressure of having to decide on a name. I could be alone in this, but there is a lot to take into consideration. Here are the things Angela and I tried to keep in mind: [Read more…] about Iron Man’s True Identity (Part 1)
Christmas Card
Every time a major holiday approaches I always debate whether to write a post based on the theme of that holiday. Do I write a post about being thankful around Thanksgiving? Do I write a post about freedom around Independence Day? Do I write a post about Jesus being our savior around Christmas? You may have noticed that typically the answer I come up with is no. It feels a little to cliché to me. So here I am on Christmas Eve debating what to write about. [Read more…] about Christmas Card
My Church, My Family
My buddy Jay asked me today how long I had been at Charisma Church. I hadn’t really thought about it, but I’ve been there for 10 years. That is pretty crazy to think about. I’ve attended Charisma for a third of my life. Being at Charisma has been an adventure. I’ve grown and been pushed in ways I had no clue I would be. When I think back on those 10 years and all the crazy memories I can’t help but smile. God has done so much in the past 10 years that I’m not even close to the person I was when I started attending. I told Jay that we may not have as many people attending as the mega church down the street, or even the moderately sized church, but I wouldn’t trade that for the kind of people we have at Charisma. New House Old Appliances
Buying a house, I was fully aware that I would no longer be able to turn to my landlord when things went wrong. What I wasn’t aware of was how quickly that would play out. In an attempt to save some money, Angela and I decided to buy a used washer and dryer. We didn’t really care that the set had a few dents and dings in it as long as it washed our clothes. We had them installed last Friday. The guys that put them in put a few marks in our paint, and looking back I should have known that was a sign of things to come. Moving At The Speed Of Life
Life is happening super fast right now. As I’m sure most of you are aware, my baby boy will be born next March. Angela and I went and registered for a bunch of stuff a couple of weeks ago. That is overwhelming. There are so many choices and so many things you need. I mean there are like 5 million kinds of pacifiers. You don’t want to pick the wrong one and mess your kid up for life. Since having a kid wasn’t enough, Angela and I signed a contract on a house about a week and half ago. We close on the house on November 26, which is 20 days after we signed the contract. It’s my first time buying a house, but I’ve been told that is a super short time frame to close on a house. [Read more…] about Moving At The Speed Of Life
