Picture of the Week – 4/13/15

In case you haven’t noticed from all pollen that is around, spring is back!  It is finally that time of the year that I can wear flip-flops and shorts again.  Another thing that comes back with spring is baseball.  Now I am not a huge baseball fan.  I am not the kind of person that can watch a game on TV.  The only way I can do that is if I have something else to do while I am watching.  Even the other night when NC State was playing UNC, I had to put the game on my iPad and watch something else on TV.  But I really enjoy going to baseball games.  Some people may find that weird, but I think it is very similar. Picture of the Week – 4/6/15

Yesterday was Easter.  With Zeke being so young, and Angela not being cleared to carry him, we had to miss out on church.  I was legitimately disappointed.  I love Charisma Church services, and we always have fun on holiday services.  It got me thinking to one of my favorite Easter services we have done.  It was a huge video/music/drama production called The Evidence Please.  Charisma has never been afraid to go against the norm.  In the event there was one song that our intern band was going to perform. Picture of the Week – 3/31/15

The struggle was real this week trying to pick out the Picture of the Week.  So much so, that I decided to take a couple extra days and think about it.  The struggle wasn’t that I couldn’t find a picture.  It was that there were just way too many to pick from.  Right now next to me, asleep in the bassinet, is my little champ, Ezekiel.  The past 5 days have been a crazy journey, but I’ll get into that in another post (I know you are checking out this post for the picture and not my witty banter).  [Read more…] about Picture of the Week – 3/31/15

Picture of the Week – 3/15/15

The older you get, the more boring life can become.  You get a job, get settled into a routine and all the sudden you are starting to wonder where all the fun went.  But the key word is “can.”  Life doesn’t have to be that way, but I’ve learned that you are the one that has to do something about it.  This week’s Picture of the Week comes from the very first North 11 show.  I was running sound and during the last song I figured it was time to have a little fun.  Everything sounded fine and the board would be OK for a minute if I wasn’t at it.  I ran over to Amber and said, “You should crowd surf.”  She looked at me with a somewhat confused look and said, “Now!?” [Read more…] about Picture of the Week – 3/15/15

Picture of the Week – 3/8/15

At the Y, we are starting to gear up for summer camp.  I know spring isn’t even here yet, but it is never too early to get started.  Thinking about summer camp, there is one thing that comes to mind.  Pies.  Lots and lots of pies.  If you have worked at a camp before, you know exactly what I am talking about.  If you haven’t, you are wondering why on earth would you think of pie when you think of summer camp.
