In case you have lost track of the days, it is Friday again. I’m back with a few recommendations that have helped me this week. As always, I don’t want to make light of a serious situation, but I do want to show some of the rays of sun that I am seeing in the storm. We have all spent our fair share of time reading the news and all need somewhere to escape. Here are my recommendations for this week.
Euchre 3D
Euchre is my go to card game. I used to play all the time. Some friends and I have been trying to set up a date to get together and play and couldn’t find one that worked. Then COVID-19 hit. One of them found this app and it has been filling the void for now. It’s certainly not the same as getting together and playing but it will work for now. If you play euchre, let me know. Here are the links to the app:
The Holy Post
This is by far my favorite podcast. I anticipate it coming out each week. It’s hosted by Phil Vischer (yes the VeggieTales guy) and Skye Jethani (and they are often joined by Christian Taylor). They cover all kinds of topics ranging from theology to current events and just about anything else. It is very thought provoking but also makes me laugh on a weekly basis. You should stop reading this and check out the episode below.
Dave Barnes’s Instagram
A few weeks ago, I told you about Dave’s new album. As good as it is, his posts on Instagram may be even better. He is currently posting a Quaranteenie Tiny Minute of Humor each day. It makes me laugh every day (and Angela rolls her eyes). Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, he would often post hilarious but he also is an extremely talented musician. If you are a musician, he is definitely worth a follow. If you’re not a musician, but you enjoy some humor in your life, he is still worth a follow.
That’s it for my recommendations this time around. Stay safe and check back next week for a new post!
