Here we are at another Friday. The weeks seem to all blur together at this point. It is comforting to see that it appears we could be on the downhill part of the curve with the pandemic and things are starting to open back up. As always, I don’t want to make light of a serious situation, but I do want to show some of the rays of sun that I am seeing in the storm. Here are my recommendations for this week.
Mint
A few years ago, I looked into ways to keep mosquitos away from my back porch. One of the solutions I found was mint plants. Since I love the flavor of mint, I figured it would be worth a shot. I don’t have any scientific evidence, but it seems to be doing its job. The other bonus is that mint grows like crazy and I am never in short supply of it. Mint is another one of my go-to’s for flavoring my water. It is also great in homemade ice cream.
Slickdeals
Slickdeals is a website that will help you find a deal on just about anything you want to buy. It’s basically an online community of people who post any deal they find (on the internet and in store only deals). I will check it before I buy just about anything to see if I can save some money. Other times I will just browse to see what is out there. You can also set up alerts to get notified when deals about something you are looking for get posted. I have one set up for LEGO since both our kids are all about them. Last week I was able to buy a $150 LEGO set for $35 thanks to a deal I found on Slickdeals.
I Will Wait – Sean G Park
Today Sean G Park released a new single called “I Will Wait.” I’ve had the benefit of worshipping to this song in church prior to its release, and it’s a good one. About the song, Sean said, “I was worshiping at midnight several months ago. I was thinking about how everyone was doing things and going places. My heart’s cry in that moment was that I didn’t want to go anywhere. I just wanted to be with God. I wanted to wait on Him.” Check out the lyric video below then follow the link to stream or buy it.
That’s it for my recommendations this time around. Stay safe and check back next week for a new post!
until next time…
