A couple weeks ago Planetshakers released a new CD entitled Limitless. The title track has quickly become one of my favorite songs by them. It has become an anthem that I love to proclaim. The lyrics are powerful and get me pumped up. Check out the video for it below.
I love the line that goes, “I’m saying goodbye to any limitation.” It is a great reminder to me that the limits we have in life are ones we have made. Luke 1:37 tells us, “nothing is impossible with God.” There may be things God has called you to do that you feel are so crazy they could never happen. Some people would say it would be impossible for a church of less than one hundred people to start a television show that would become one of the most widely shown shows for Christian youth, yet TV One Life has achieved that, and is getting ready to release our fourth season. Some people would say it’s crazy to go from being a counselor at the YMCA to a director in six months. I would have probably agreed with those people, but next week I will begin working full-time as a director. Some people think it’s crazy to give money to your church and expect God will provide for all your needs. Yet I have been doing this for almost ten years, only had a salaried job for nine months of those ten years, and I’ve been able to pay all my bills. I could go on and on with examples.
The common denominator in all of these is trusting in God. As Planetshakers say about God, “You are bigger, and You’re greater, and You’re stronger.” It doesn’t matter how big, crazy, or impossible the things God has called you to do are. He is bigger, greater, and stronger than any of them. He can get us there. But He can only do this when we trust in Him and when we do not put limits on what He can do. Philippians 4:13 tells us, “I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” It may seem crazy, and it probably is, but that does not mean it is impossible.
If there are things in your life about which you are struggling to believe God, I’d encourage you to proclaim what Limitless says, “Lord, you are bigger, Lord, you are greater, Lord, you are stronger than anything.” Say goodbye to limitations. You’ll be amazed at the places God will take you when you whole heartedly trust in Him. When we do this we are limitless.
until next time…
