Yesterday was Easter. With Zeke being so young, and Angela not being cleared to carry him, we had to miss out on church. I was legitimately disappointed. I love Charisma Church services, and we always have fun on holiday services. It got me thinking to one of my favorite Easter services we have done. It was a huge video/music/drama production called The Evidence Please. Charisma has never been afraid to go against the norm. In the event there was one song that our intern band was going to perform. There were talks about if we would be able to pull it off because arranging it with the instruments we had could be tough. Not only did we pull it off, we crushed it. The song was “The Slam” by tobyMac. The best part about it was that in the production the song caught everyone by surprise. We had played some mellower songs and had a few videos, and then out of nowhere we busted out with the song and rocked the house. So here is the Picture of the Week, my favorite Easter service moment:
Not your typical Easter service. Not your typical Easter Sunday attire. Not your typical Easter Sunday song. And I loved every minute of it!
until next time…
