Pink or Blue?

November 5, 2014

Ever since July 16, Angela and I have looked forward to today.  In some ways, it seems like it took no time to get here.  In other ways, it seems like it took forever.  Today is the day we found out the gender of our baby.  Up until today, one of the most popular questions we have been asked is if we were going to find out what the gender was.  Our answer was yes.  We want to be able to decorate and get things for our baby based on their gender.  I am also impatient and wouldn’t want to wait until they were born to find out.

We both want to have a boy first.  We wouldn’t be upset at all with a girl, but we both like the thought of an older brother for our future children (if we have them).  I would also probably turn into the world’s biggest sucker if we had a girl first.  Of course there was a chance we wouldn’t find out today.  Depending on how the baby was positioned, the doctor may not have been able to tell from the ultrasound.  That would have been such a bummer.  Angela and I would have left the doctor’s office pretty disappointed if that had happened.  That didn’t happen and we left happy.

One thing that is crazy now is to think about the responsibility of naming our child.  The name we pick will be with them for their entire life (unless they hate it so much they legally change it).  That is a lot of responsibility.  It is for this reason I am thankful for my niece, Makenna.  She has already decided that if we have a girl, her name will be Makenna.  If we have a boy, his name will be Iron Man.  So luckily she took the weight off our shoulders and made the huge naming decision for us.  I guess we will still have to work on a middle name, but at least we have the tougher part over.

Here I am rambling and you are just wanting me to get to the point.  Maybe you already scrolled to the bottom to see what picture I posted or what I typed to spoil it.  You are probably the same kind of person that reads the last page of a book first.  Well here is the deal.  To find out the gender you will need to follow the link below.  The page is password protected.  The password is either pink or blue (no caps).  Don’t rush your decision.  Study hard.  Go back a re-read this post to see if I accidentally gave it away.  Once you feel fully prepared, click on the link below.
