I’ve worked in youth camps since I was sixteen years old. When things are going well, it is easy to go with the mantra of “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.” A lack of change can is hidden under the mask of tradition. While it is not necessary to recreate the wheel each year, it doesn’t mean you can’t make some improvements. When Angela and I bought our house, it was brand new. Even though it was brand new, we immediately installed a tile back splash in our kitchen and a ceiling fan in our living room. It didn’t mean we had a busted house. I Own Skinny Jeans
So I have a confession to make. Well I guess I actually made it in the title of this blog, but I own skinny jeans. At no point in time did I ever think this would happen; until I went on the 2013 Charisma Student Ministry retreat. Following tradition, we stopped on the way home to do some shopping shopping. This year the youth wanted to go to the outlet mall, and I love outlet malls, so I had no problem agreeing with that. Our first stop was Rue 21. I wasn’t really planning to buy any clothes, but they had some really good sales. I thought one of the signs said “Buy one, get one free skinny jeans” for $10. When I saw that, I texted one of my youth to let him know that he should come check it out.
