Easter is a time where we remember that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead to set us free from our sins. Acts 13:39 tells us, “and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.” So for Easter we think on that, take family pictures in our cute Easter outfits, hunt for eggs and eat chocolate bunnies.

Land Of The Free?
America celebrated Independence Day this past Monday. People celebrated their freedom by eating hot dogs, drinking beer, and shooting off fireworks. ‘Murica! In the days that followed news continues to pour out that makes me sick to my stomach. It has left such a stirring in my heart that I feel I can’t ignore it. Before I go any further I will say I am extremely thankful for those in the military who risk their lives for the freedom that I enjoy. I also have multiple family members, including my brother, in the police force and appreciate what cops do to protect this country. But what in the world is happening in America? Following Our Founding Fathers
I received a text yesterday that said, “I know the Bible says that we are free from sin, but sometimes I wonder. I think I am incapable of resisting *insert sin here*.” The Bible verse they are referencing is John 8:31-32,36, “Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Jesus died on the cross to set us free from our sins, so those that follow Him are free from that bondage.
