I used to check the stats on my blog every day. Actually, I used to check them multiple times a day. I can check stats on how many people have been to my site, what pages they checked out, if they used a link on social media to get to my site, what country they are from and so much more. I used to check it as if doing that was going to magically increase the number of people going to it. Everyone knows it is totally rational to think that checking your blog’s stats will drive traffic to it. 100th Post – Goal Setting
I’m a few days behind on this, but welcome to 2015. It’s that time of the year where everyone talks about what they are going to change and what their goals are. For 2015, I got a big wall calendar to help me keep track of some of mine. It came in the mail on Friday (just a few days behind) and now I need to flatten it out and get it on the wall. Here I am 11 days into 2015, and I’ve already not done some things I would like to. Between work and family there has been a lot going on already in 2015. It’s a new year, and with it comes everyone talking about things they are going to change. For those working at the YMCA it is the busiest time of the year. So many people come in and sign up for gym memberships in January. The gym is so packed at the Alexander Y that they have to hire parking attendants for the evening hours. Killing Dreams
I was watching TV the other day and saw a Dr. Pepper commercial with Pitbull in it. In the commercial he says, “A dream is for those who sleep.” I do not agree with this statement. Now stay with me, because I know he is not saying that you should not dream. However, I think that he is discounting how important the dream is. The dream is where it all begins.
