One thing that seems to always live up to the hype is mom groups on Facebook. Since I’m married, I get some inside access to a few mom groups thanks to Angela. There always seems to be drama on them. Moms can be ruthless. Social media in general seems to be that way lately. You can get on twitter swipe for a while, click on a random tweet and there is a good chance there will be people arguing in the comments. Complete strangers will go back and forth over something so petty. Sometimes I am tempted to jump in and comment, but I have learned (the hard way) that it is way better to stay out.

Footprints in the Sand
There is a lot of brokenness in our society right now (understatement of the year I know). There are a lot of hurting people for many reasons and many people looking for answers. One thing it brought to my mind is the Footprint in the Sand poem. If you are unfamiliar with it, it is about a person walking on the beach and reflecting on their life. They see that God walked with them and there were two sets of footprints but noticed that during the tough times there was only one set of footprints in the sand. They ask God why He left them during that time and he answers that at those times he was carrying them. You can read the poem HERE.

Turning People Into Numbers
A few weeks ago, I was in Target picking up a few things when a stranger approached me and started a conversation saying, “I like your shirt.” “Thanks,” I replied and hoped that was the end of it. It had been a long day and work and I was ready to get home. “Where did you get it,” he continued. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that he was genuinely interested in my shirt I told him. A minute later he was asking if he could tell me about an amazing company he was a part of. I let him know I wasn’t interested and walked away. I wasn’t shopping for any multi-level marketing companies that day. [Read more…] about Turning People Into Numbers
Little People- Big Lessons
Today’s post is a guest post by Angela. You can look forward to seeing a post from her once a month.
Sometimes the littlest people can teach us big lessons.
Anyone who has met my littles probably knows their obsession with vehicles runs deep. We sing the “wee-ooo wee-ooo” firetruck song about 50 times a day. So when I heard about the “Touch-A-Truck” event at our community center I knew they would love it. If you’ve never been to one it is exactly what I sounds like, a parking lot full of trucks and diggers for kids to climb on. It is essentially a toddler’s paradise. Sadly, Addie was sick today and couldn’t go. I decided to take Zeke anyways while she stayed home with Nick. [Read more…] about Little People- Big Lessons
