Yesterday afternoon at after school we got caught in the middle of a big thunderstorm. As if having a big storm with loud thunder wasn’t creating enough chaos for kindergarteners on their first week of after school, the roof in the cafeteria started leaking. And by leaking I actually mean pouring. I have never seen a ceiling leak so bad, it was leaking as fast and heavy as the rain was falling outside. Just A Normal Day At Camp
Today when I got to work I had a lot of things on my mind. We are really short staffed this week and it has been hectic. At some point during the day I was supposed to get a call from a mom who had some concerns. It was starting to rain and weather reports were saying it would stay that way all day, so I had to start coming up with a plan for what to do if that happened. The Start of Something Great
Summer camp starts next Monday. For me, this year will be a little bit different from previous years. I’ve spent the last nine months helping create a camp from scratch. This will be the first summer of Camp Trinity’s existence. It has been an incredible journey that will become very real on Monday.
