You are Awesome

June 11, 2014

A few weeks ago, we ended our first night of summer day camp staff training with a devotion using a Kid President video.  In fact, this video inspired our overall theme for the three weeks of training we do to prepare for camp.  Before I go any further, check out the video.  Even if you have watched it before, I think it is worth watching again. Searching For Socks

May 25, 2014

This morning I was talking to people about how it drives me crazy to see a computer desktop filled with files and folders.  It overwhelms me and I can’t deal with it.  Someone was saying they usually put files on their desktop until it starts to fill up and then they organize it.  This prompted someone else to say they could save so much time if they just organized it from the start.  From there the conversation went to many ways we waste time by not handling something right away. April 30, 2014

As I look back at the past month of my life, I’m not really sure where it went.  It has been a crazy roller coaster of a ride.  I’ve been very busy but last week something happened that made it all worth it.

I have a triathlon coming up in a couple of weeks, so in the midst of having a crazy schedule at work I have tried to make sure I get some workouts in. [Read more…] about A Locker Room Conversation

Weathering the Storm

April 2, 2014

This past Saturday, Josh and I set out to put some miles in on the track.  It was lightly raining, but we had checked the radar and it looked we had a window before the heavy rain got to us.  During our break after our first set, I commented about how the rain felt good because it was light enough to have a nice cooling effect.  A couple of laps into our second set the rain picked up and as Josh passes me he says, “You had to say something.” [Read more…] about Weathering the Storm
