A few weeks ago, Zeke took a nasty spill and landed on his elbow. Within minutes, he had a golf ball sized knot on his arm. He was crying and clearly in a lot of pain. He was holding his arm and crying out in pain anytime it moved. Since we were heading on vacation the next day our doctor wanted us to come get in checked out. While Angela was driving him to the doctor’s office, she heard him mumbling something in the back seat. Thinking he was trying to talk to her, Angela asked him what he said. His response? ”I am praying to God because my arm hurts and He will heal it.” He said it in a matter of fact, “what do you think I’m doing” way. [Read more…] about Childlike Faith

Embracing the Small Steps
In Genesis 12, God calls Abram to leave his country, family, and everything he has ever known to go to a new land. God leads him into Canaan and tells him that he would give that land to him and his descendants (v7). Then something interesting happens. A famine strikes Canaan and Abram and his family have to go to Egypt to survive. *insert puzzled look emoji here* [Read more…] about Embracing the Small Steps
Into The Unknown

Peter has a dream of something he wants to do and he just goes for it. [Read more…] about Get Out of the Boat
Lessons from the ER
The last week has been a whirlwind. It all started last week when Angela developed a cold. What seemed like a common cold turned into so much more. It turned into a crazy week that has included a trip to urgent care, the emergency room, a neurologist, a doctor’s office, a radiologist for an MRI, and ENT doctor. We have heard everything from she could have a cold to meningitis to a tumor. Angela has had blood drawn twice, two IVs, a spinal tap, an MRI, an eye exam, a probe shoved up her nose to look at her throat, and been prescribed three medicines.
